The event is held at Gilmore Road, off SH6.

Bendigo Wildlife Reserve is currently getting a facelift.

Otago Fish & Game are replanting native plants in the reserve to increase plant biodiversity and provide nesting habitat for waterfowl.

There will be a volunteer plating day held on 19th August 2023, during Conservation Week.

A selection of native trees, scrubs and grasses that once existed in the area are being planted, to restore the Central Otago dryland forests.

This event is part of Conservation Week 2023.

Details are:

Saturday 19th August, to help celebrate conservation week.

The planting will commence at 10am.

We will meet near the end of Gilmore Road, approx. 15mins drive north of Cromwell on SH6.

Volunteers are asked to bring gumboots or sturdy footwear, gardening gloves, and spades if they wish.
We will have an auger on site for digging in the looser soils, so spades and digging equipment aren't mandatory!
