Join us for a series of free events aimed at growing capability of community groups through development sessions on relevant topics, each session also providing an opportunity for networking. Each session will run for 90 minutes. They will be held on Tuesdays, every 4-6 weeks. The talk will be from 5:30pm to 6:15pm, with the remainder of the time for networking. Free pre-registration required for each individual event. Sign language interpreter available upon request.

Are you wanting to put on an event in the community but are unsure where to start?
This session is designed to provide you with some of the basics needed when it comes to your main event requirements. Facilitated by the Whangarei District Council Venue and Events team, this session brings together three expert speakers with the aim of building communities event capabilities. The session structure will be a mixture of a short presentation followed by a panel discussion, focusing on three main event requirement areas.

Topics covered will include:
✔ Permits process to hold an Event on Council land.
✔ Event Health and Safety
✔ Traffic Management Plans

Accessibility information: Wheelchair access, accessible parking, accessible toilets, viewing area, sign language interpreter available upon request.
