Join Canterbury Film Society for our open event marking the International Day of Peace:

A Hidden Life (Terrence Malick • 2019 • 174 mins • Germany/USA • PG)

Based on real events, A Hidden Life is the story of an unsung hero, Franz Jägerstätter, who refused to fight for the Nazis in World War II. When the Austrian peasant farmer is faced with the threat of execution for treason, it is his unwavering faith and his love for his wife, Fani, and children that keeps his spirit alive.

The Canterbury Film Society offers weekly screenings of top-quality films – arthouse, classic, cult, documentary, world cinema and more – on the big screen. We screen on Monday nights at 7.30pm, doors open 7.00pm with drinks and home-baked food for purchase.

Note this movie is 3 hours long and so for tonight the screening is at 7:00pm, with doors opening at 6:30pm!

Let us take you further into film!
