Blue Duck

Blue Duck is an exhibition of new paintings by Wellington-based artists Ruby Wilkinson and Christian Dimick. Being partners in life, both artists share a continuous dialogue between each other’s work. This intimate conversation presents itself to the viewer through the vehicle of painting, with its details veiled through the use of abstraction.
This guise of abstraction is useful for the artists to maintain a sense of privacy within their visual dialogue, yet present something deeply personal. It is important to both Wilkinson and Dimick that the viewer is left enough space to piece together their own understanding of how these paintings interrelate, both physically and emotionally.
