Bike, Wine and Dine is a new interactive event combining, cycling with wine and food pairing.
Each Saturday and Sunday during June, July and August, join us for a leisurely bike ride through the stunning Bridge Pa Triangle Wine District. Discover in twelve exquisite wines, and savor a delectable four-course dining experience carefully curated to tantalize your taste buds with the accompanying wine tasting. Welcome to "Bike, Wine, Dine".
Once you’ve collected your bikes from On Yer Bike Winery Tours, get ready to pedal your way through picturesque 26-kilometer circuit, winding alongside vineyards. As you explore this renowned wine region, you'll visit four prestigious wineries: Paritua Vineyard, Sileni Wines, Oak Estate, and Ash Ridge Wines.
At each winery, expert winemakers along with renown local chef Simon Lillico of Oak Estate have collaborated to take you on a tantalizing journey of flavours, carefully matching a single dish with three exquisite wines from the winery. Discover the harmonious symphony between the flavours of the food and the characteristics of the wines, as your palate is awakened, and your senses heightened.
"Bike, Wine, Dine" isn't just a day out – it's an experience that will create lasting memories. Unwind in the picturesque wineries, raise a glass to the day's adventures, and toast with fellow wine enthusiasts.
What the experience entails:
- Bike hire and Helmet from On Yer Bike Winery Tours (unless you opt to bring your own bike)
- Route Map
- At each participating winery you will receive:
- a wine tasting of three wines (each tasting is 30ml approx). You may purchase a glass of wine if so desired.
- a specially prepared dish to match the tasting wines.
- opportunity to purchase wines.
- If you purchase wine during the day we will collect it and have it ready for you when you drop the bikes between 4 - 4:30pm
Numbers are limited to 30 people per day. You can book a regular bike, an electric bike (subject to availability) or bring your own bike. You will cover about 26Km in cycling, Most of it is on the Hawke's Bay Cycle Trails, but there are a few sections where you are on rural roads. The route and order will take you to Sileni Wines, Paritua Winery, Oak Estate and Ash Ridge Winery. Please be at On Yer Bike Winery Tours, 2543 State Highway 50, Roy's Hill, Hastings, at 10:45am for a 11:00am departure. Please do not be late as we don't want you to miss your first wine tasting.
Bookings need to be made before Thursday 5:00pm for the following weekend so we have time to prepare those delectable dishes. Unfortunately we cannot take bookings on the day. If you are looking to cancel due to weather or you just cannot make it, you need to submit a cancellation request before Thursday 5:00pm preceding the weekend you have booked (fees may be incurred). After this time there will be no refund. We will not cancel due to weather.
