Big Bash 2023

Sunday 20th August, 1-4pm, Te Rauparaha Arena, Porirua.

First held in 2020, Orchestra Wellington's Big Bash is a mass play-in/sing-in event which brings together hundreds of singers and instrumentalists from across the Wellington region in a glorious afternoon of music-making.

Conducted by Orchestra Wellington's Music Director Marc Taddei, all together we will rehearse and then perform a number of much-loved works including Faure's Pavane op. 50, Faure's Cantique de Jean Racine, Bizet's L'Arlesienne Suite, and Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld. The music will be sent to all participants via email, however you will also be able to download from this page when it becomes available.

Anyone is welcome to come along and watch both the rehearsal and the performance entirely for FREE. Performance will begin at approximately 3.30pm.
