B40: Whānau Day

The B40: Whānau Day is the final event in Baycourt’s 40th anniversary celebrations! Take an immersive journey behind the theatre curtain as you experience the Baycourt Community and Arts Centre at its absolute best. You’ll get to see all the tricks of the trade: the lighting and special stage effects along with a rare opportunity to explore Baycourt’s hallowed backstage spaces.

Free guided tours run every half hour from 10.30am through to 1.30pm. Our experienced staff will show you the world behind the scenes and share stories of their own about the amazing people who have invested themselves into this creative space over the past four decades.

Relax on the Baycourt lawn between tours with face painters, balloon sculptors, roaming performers and food carts.
