The Auckland Regional Waka Ama Regatta is a 2-day event where approx 400 competitors will race in 6 man and 12 man waka over two distances, a 250m dash and a 500m sprint. Competitors ages range from 6yrs to 80+yrs
This event is held annually and this will be the first time it is going to be run at Ian Shaw Reserve. In previous years it has been held at Lake Pupuke, Milford.
