Artists in Eden

This iconic community art day in the heart of Mt Eden Village is a firm favourite on the Mt Eden cultural calendar and a great chance to watch artists at work as they create a piece of art for the auction in the afternoon. Come and chat to artists including George Baloghy, John Horner, Neal Palmer, Peata Larkin, Simon Williams and many others as they paint before your eyes using the theme of Mt Eden/ Maungawhau as their inspiration. This exciting day of kid's activities, a raffle, and live music by popular jazz ensemble Nairobi Trio culminates in the traditional live auction at 2.30pm where you can bid for the works you saw take shape earlier in the day.
