Multi-Media Artist Linda Wills
Linda, our watercolour artist at Shiloh, also has an interest in mixed media that she would love to pass on to you. The emphasis in these classes is on painting in loose expressive and experimental ways, using watercolour as well as other water-based mediums and plenty of added ingredients.
Here is a list of suggestions for you to bring along.
Some or all of the following (the paper, brushes and gesso are the most important):
Watercolour paper and brushes
Gesso (you can often buy cheaply from a Gold Coin shop or similar)
Plastic wrap
A little sand, grit, tiny shells
String
Gouache
Inks
Acrylic paint
Torn sacking or other loosely woven natural fabric
Piece of old lace curtain
Watercolour pencils
Pastels
Table salt
Dried leaves
Embossed wallpaper
