Come along and join us on the 6th and 7th of January 2023 for the annual Castlepoint Fishing Club community fishing competition. The competition is both land and boat-based and there is also a special children's competition in the beautiful, sheltered lagoon area so everyone can join in. This will be the 26th year for this awesome, family-friendly competition whose proceeds benefit seven much-loved Castlepoint community organisations.
- Registrations start at 4pm until 9pm, Thursday 5th January at the Castlepoint Community Hall or at the beach on competition days.
- Entry fees: Main Competition - $40.
- Fishing starts at 5.30am on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th January.
- Boat launching available: $5 per day.
- Specified fish species categories have prizes from 1st-3rd place.
- Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and supporters, there are lots of fabulous spot prizes and raffles to be won!
- The children's competition takes place at the lagoon from 10am until midday, Friday 6th and Saturday 7th.
- Children 12 and under - $5 per entry.
- Prizes for specific categories and sizes.
- Food and drinks are available at the Community Hall on Saturday night.
