A Life, In Pieces by Baron Belvedere Von Iceman
What is art? People have been asking this of me for many years, knowing that I am uniquely qualified to answer just that. More importantly, George Harrison once asked me "What is life?" - I realised that art is the only way to answer life's greatest question. Thus began work on my greatest exhibition yet, "A Life, In Pieces".
Debuting at the Square Edge gallery in Palmerston North (a fine place for art), I will be present at the grand opening to perform all of the usual glad-handing one expects, as well as take part in a moderated Q&A. There will be catering, a silent DJ and a loud auction. Koha entry, suggested $5.
Grand opening 7pm, Friday 15 September. Exhibition runs until Monday 25 September.
A Loaf, In Pieces by Madame Croque
What drives you? A sense of purpose? Revenge? What drives us all?
The answer of course is that there is no universal truth... but food comes close.
I was once called "just a sandwich artist" as a term of derision. A mockery made of my profession. I vowed that day to become something more. Artists are a superstitious cowardly lot. As a symbol, I can be incorruptible. I can be everlasting.
