Pack a picnic, grab your fishing rod and licence and bring the family down to the annual Tutaenui Family Fishing Day on Saturday 18 November at the Tutaenui (Marton) Reservoir Reserve.

500 rainbow trout will be released into the lower reservoir, so the chances of success are very high. And remember, the reservoir offers some of the best perch fishing in the region too!

All anglers will need to be licensed - these are free for under 12s and can be organised on the day. To buy a fishing licence ahead of the event, please visit fishandgame.org.nz

Staff from Wellington Fish and Game will be on site to help over the weekend so don't miss this great family friendly opportunity!

Cant make it on Saturday?

Don’t worry, the public reserve is open from dusk to dawn, seven days a week, 365 days a year, for anybody and everybody that wants to come fishing and enjoy the reserve. You can also walk, run, or mountain bike the tracks. Dogs on leads and horse riding are also welcome.
