Fred is an aspiring novelist but his life is at a dead end; he is single, writing for a drain pipe company and living beside the KFC on Papanui Rd. When best-selling author Frances, his old high school crush, arrives out of the blue, things start to get a little out of hand. Loyal Annie and wacky but loveable Steve, lead by Fred, certainly give Frances a visit she will never forget.
