RED traffic light setting update: Matuku Link joins World Wetland Day with Guided Walks - small groups on regular start times - by registration only - to give visitors the opportunity to see the changes since we bought the property in 2016 and have spent over fifteen thousand volunteer hours improving the place, with two new boardwalks and a Wetland Education Centre. All free and all welcome but registration is needed.
Try to find one of our wandering Pateke (brown teal), spot a secretive spotless crake or even our namesake Matuku (bittern) on one of our guided tours on bugs, birds, eels or flora & fauna.
We’d love you to join us on this special day. 111 Bethells Road, Te Henga, West Auckland - entry opposite the Bethells fire station, ample parking on site.
