Karangahape Road after the second world war was the gate way for the Pacific migration to Grey Lynn, Ponsonby, Herne Bay, Kingsland. Inner city Auckland - our humble ethnic working-class ghetto. Karangahape was also known as "Coconut Grove" by taxi drivers reflecting a time of challenges and changes.

Listen to Reverend Mua Strickson-Pua tell stories of his Aiga/Whānau/family and highlight the struggles and contributions to Niu Sila/Aotearoa/New Zealand society. Hear details of historical events such as when New Zealand seized Samoa from Germany in 1914, Samoa's Black Saturday on 29 December 1929, Western Samoa Independence in 1962, the Dawn Raids and Overstayers, the 1981 Anti Springbok Tour, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and the 2021 Dawn Raids Apology by Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.

Celebrate and honour our regions Pasifika urban migrant Matua/parents Tupulaga/generation after the second world war and acknowledge the Fa'atuatua/Faith and Fa'a Samoa, the cultural world.
