Hosted by the wonderful team from Three Cups of Tea Ceramics, be inspired, get creative, and make your own unique watering jug.
During this workshop you will sculpt and decorate your own watering jug. Learn to roll clay flat, cut out shapes, and join pieces of clay together, before adding textures and personality with drawings, natural materials, and clay stamps.
Three Cups of Tea Ceramics is a creative collaboration between Elise Johnston and Karen Taylor O'Neill. Their durable ceramics, handmade in small batches in Ōtepoti Dunedin, are designed to be used and draw inspiration from the colours and creatures of New Zealand's wild places.
After the jugs have been made, they will be fired and glazed by Three Cups of Tea Ceramics in a soft white glaze to enhance the surface decorations. The finished pieces can then be collected from Otago Museum. All materials will be provided for the workshop but participants are encouraged to bring their own apron.
Bring your friends, or make new friends, and create something lovely while sipping a glass of Quartz Reef wine in the beautiful Otago Museum Atrium.
Tickets are $60 and include everything you need to make your own ceramic jug, wine from Quartz Reef, and canapés! Cash bar also available.
Tickets sell out quickly, so book now.
