Weekends with Dad brings together Auckland's best known and loved “father and son” comedy combo Coombe and Darran Lees.

New Zealander Coombe and British born Darran are bringing their hour-long special to the South Island first, with shows in Rangiora, Christchurch, Queenstown and Wanaka during August 2022. Each show will feature a local guest opening up the night.

Coombe is the winner of the Hamilton Roast Battle, and was shortlisted for Best Newcomer 2020 and Best Producer 2021 at the New Zealand Comedy Guild Awards and has been seen on Jono and Ben, Family Feud, and Shortland Street.

Darran, winner of the Carnival Cruise Open Mic Competition and shortlisted at the New Zealand Comedy Guild Awards 2021 for Best Online Production for the cult comedy and political podcast “The Podcrastinators”, can often be found performing improv comedy.

The pair have performed right across New Zealand to multiple sell-out crowds.
Coombe and Darran bring you an hour of sheer entertainment as they give you their hilarious insights and perspectives into the life of being a Gen Z and Gen X as well as their day to day observations and social commentary.

The show which has been deemed court-mandated (so you are legally obliged to check it out) will have you crying with laughter as the duo take you on their unique journeys.

When mum isn't around the fun truly begins as it's a show where they finally get to let loose!
