Wairarapa Sports Hall of Fame - Black Tie Gala

The Wairarapa Sports Education Trust and friends are excited to be launching the Wairarapa Sports Hall of Fame – Te Waka Hau Tangata o Wairarapa – at a Gala Launch event at the Carterton Events Centre on Saturday November 5 2022.

The achievements of Wairarapa’s athletes, coaches and administrators over the years have been phenomenal. Constantly punching above their weight, we believe the achievements of our sporting greats need to be celebrated, shared, and preserved in history.

It is also important to us that the young people of the Wairarapa, the next generation, are aware of the sporting shoulders they stand on.

The Wairarapa Sports Hall of Fame will be launched with a spectacular digital display at a Black Tie Gala Event at the Carterton Events Centre on Saturday November 5 2022.

An esteemed Judging panel has been convened and has considered potential inductees.

We are extremely proud to announce that there will be twelve initial inductees. Following this, our sporting heroes will be inducted at a ceremony once every two years.

This event will hold a very special place in Wairarapa’s sporting history, and tickets are strictly limited, so get in quick for your chance to be part of the excitement!
