Taupo’s Tongariro North Domain comes alive with mid-winter fun as the Wairakei Estate Ice Rink and Rapids Jet Ice Slide returns as part of the Malcolm Flowers Insurances Taupo Winter Festival to skate away the mid-winter blues from Friday 8 July – Sunday 24 July.
The fully covered, 10m x 20m, 100% pure ice rink provides revelry for all ages and the 33m Rapids Jet Ice Slide will have you smiling from ear to ear!
Wrap up warm in your winter woollies and come and have some icy fun at The Wairakei Estate Ice Rink and Rapids Jet Ice Slide! You are guaranteed to have the coolest time!
On the ice, it’s the perfect day or night out! The ice rink is covered making it perfect to visit in all weather. Explore, create, learn, glide and slide and have fun in this winter wonderland! Please note minimum age for ice skating and the ice slide is 3 years. Pre-schoolers need to be with an adult on the ice slide.
