After a brief winter hiatus, VillageMusic is very pleased to bring our favourite (and inaugural) trio back to the old Mt Eden hall.
Nairobi trio have been described as New Zealand's favourite Jazz entertainers. With thirty five years touring and performing around NZ and across the globe the Nairobi trio deliver an entertaining, engaging live show, much of it spontaneously improvised.
The musical program includes skillfully crafted original material and reimagined standards, delivered in their inimitable style. Nairobi trio have recorded 10 albums to date.
Nairobi Trio are Richard Adams (Violin/ vocals), John Quigley (Guitar/ vocals) and Peter Koopman (Bass/ vocals). As a special guest, Andrew (Saxman) Dixon will also join the group - truly one of our finest NZ horn players.
