As modern people, we are used to a worldview given to us by a science that is focused on the material. Here, personal consciousness is of secondary concern and somewhat unknown and intangible. Yet, many of us find ourselves driven by notions of self-improvement to help ourselves feel, do and be better in some way. However, such attempts often only result in further cycles of dissatisfaction as it seems yet again, we “fail” to right ourselves. Buddhist science is mainly focused on the way our consciousness constructs our reality, and how such constructions can be embraced by awareness or lack thereof. In this workshop, we will explore these themes from both the philosophical and personal perspectives, asking ourselves: are we ready to perceive our reality as greater than what we think? Are we able to embrace the truth that the solution to our predicament cannot be found on ego’s premises?
