South Auckland’s unmissable showcase of Aotearoa’s blazing hot comedic talent.

Curated and MC’d by Pax Assadi (Raised by Refugees and host of the 2020 Best Foods Christmas Comedy Gala), one of NZ's strongest comedic voices, and headlined by the self-proclaimed “humble king of comedy”, Tofiga Fepulea’i, The Comedy Mixtape features a lineup of some of comedy’s biggest stars and hottest emerging talent.

This sensational stand-up showcase brings a huge night of laughs to South Auckland, with the freshest comedians on the block hitting the stage with some of comedy’s household names.

Catch this massive lineup on the BNZ Theatre stage at Vodafone Events Centre…

Bubbah - [@king.ulavale] This Māngere legend debuted on the hilarious sketch series SIS, took her comedy to the backyards of South Auckland in lockdown and smashed out a truly original show at Comedy Fest last year.

David Correos - [@davidpostoffice] you may know him from his infamous rap in Taskmaster. This Billy T Award Winner and Fred Award Finalist (and regular on 7 Days and Have You Been Paying Attention?!) is sure to bring some hilarious antics to the stage.

Janaye Henry - [@janayeh] (Ngāti Kahu ki Whangaroa) When she’s not posting absolute fire videos to her Insta or guest starring on Have You Been Been Paying Attention?, 2022 Billy T nominee Janaye is bringing crack up vibes to live audiences.

Courtney Dawson - [@cdawsoxx] (Ngati Kuri, Tainui) fashion icon and funny AF, you can catch her hot tips on Māori TV’s Rags 2 Riches and her hot takes on the latest news on Have You Been Paying Attention NZ?! She also won the 2019 Raw Comedy Final.

Heta Dawson - (Ngati Kuri, Tainui) The comedy genes are strong with the Dawsons - Heta is not only a funny guy - he’s also Courtney’s dad! 2019 Raw Comedy Quest finalist Heta brings laughter wherever he goes, from his birthplace in South Auckland, to the rest of Aotearoa, and BACK to South Auckland with The Comedy Mixtape.

Kura Turuwhenua [@kumara_chipz] (Ngāti Porou/Tūhoe/Kāi Tahu) this 2022 Raw finalist has been giving followers her signature 'funny cause it's true' musings on TikTok, see them live on the night!

Ed Amon [@edamoned] - who alongside his fast-growing stand up career also has a Masters in Indigenous Studies (like proper smart), a column in his local paper, and his own podcast (Baboon Yodel).

Natalie Samy [@natalie_samy] - has had a bunch of great roles recently with Netflix’s The Legend of Monkey, Joe Daymond’s This is Auckland, Brown Noize and soon to launch on Comedy Central UK, the fresh new series Bouncers.

Bailey Poching [@broozer_] - a Sāmoan/Māori comedian and filmmaker, raised in the UK’s blustery Yorkshire moors. As a 2020 Raw Comedy Quest finalist, Bailey has all the tools in his kit to get the whole crowd in hysterics.

Sowmya Hiremath [@sowmyacomedy] - voted Best Female Comedian in 2020 by Cartel Comedy, she is the master of ‘taking her life’ to the stage and turning it into comedy gold.

Be part of the audience and see it here first - this show will be filmed for audiences around the motu on THREE.
