The Dunedin Railway Station might look like it is under wraps with all of the construction taking place outside. However, venture inside and up the stairs to find the Otago Art Society’s Summer Exhibition. Generously sponsored by local business JW Smeaton Chartered Accountants, the exhibition is a celebration of OAS Member’s diverse work. There will be a wide range of mediums represented including sculpture, painting, photography, and textile works.
Prizes totalling over $1000 are to be decided by judge and local artist Sam Foley, as well as a people’s choice award. The exhibition runs from 29th January to 26th February, with all work available for purchase.
As the summer heats up, why not come enjoy some art and be cooled down by the dark basalt rock and Oamaru limestone of the Dunedin Railway Station!
