South Canterbury Cyclocross

We are bringing back a South Canterbury cyclocross race for the fifth running of the South Canterbury Mountain Bike Club's Cyclo-cross Race, to be held in the Scenic Reserve (Centennial Park), Timaru.

A twist of something a little different, running a short loop around the lake area of mud, obstacles, stairs and grass hills.

Sign up from 12.30 race starts at 1pm.

Race goes for 40 minutes.

Registration and start from the Main lake area in the middle of Centennial Park, Timaru. Sign posted from the entrance.

This is to be run as a trial event before the South Island Secondary schools CX champs in July and in place of the our usual June Chocolate Fish Race so everyone still gets a chocolate fish at the end.
While we will run the one combined race for all categories. Those on proper CX bikes will get a head start along with those in fancy dress, otherwise this is a great chance to get that old Road, Singlespeed, or retro out for a ride as it's all about having fun.
