Join us for this special Sea Week talk with Paul Broady. Each winter vast areas of ocean freeze over to form sea-ice. In spring this starts to melt and the ice edge retreats. This ice edge region is one that usually abounds with life in both north and south polar regions. Why is this so? What are the differences between the Arctic and the Antarctic? Polar bears and penguins come immediately to mind but there is much more besides these iconic animals.

Paul Broady has a background in biology and a long-term interest in climate change, he has studied some of the remotest regions of our world and is passionate about sharing his knowledge with others.
