Brindlewood Bay Role Playing Game

Porirua Libraries and Imagine This! are proud to present: Brindlewood Bay, by Jason Cordova - an RPG, cosy game open to ages 14 and up, suitable for the curious and murder mystery lovers. This game is beginner-friendly for those who have never played an RPG (role-playing game) before.

Participants will play as a group of elderly women - members of a local book club - who somehow keep finding themselves investigating real life murders in their small, sleepy seaside town. The game is directly inspired by the television show Murder, She Wrote, but also takes cues from the works of H.P. Lovecraft, “cosy” crime dramas, and American TV shows from the ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s, like Magnum P.I., Remington Steele, and Twin Peaks. In other words, it’s a retro horror-mystery dream.

This campaign will be played via Discord server, so an active Discord account is essential as is a stable internet connection and audio connectivity. This is a registration only event which will play out across two weeks in four booked sessions. All players of any skill level are welcome. Accents and dressing up are strongly encouraged, and there will be prizes.

A welcome pack will be provided a week before the first meeting, including character sheets and player expectations. Register your interest with Riah.Tahana-Dawson@poriruacity.govt.nz by December 31.
