Santa's Grotto 2022

Bring your tamariki to visit Santa in the Tama Tūranga Huata room this December!

Open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in December, there’s plenty of opportunities to come meet Santa before he takes off to deliver treats to all the tamariki around Aotearoa.

Post your letters to Santa, meet the big man and have a photo with him in Santa’s Grotto. You can either take your photos on your phone, or get a polaroid snap for a koha.

There will be a Giving Tree for Hastings Women's Refuge, as well, so you can help share the aroha with your community this festive season. Please remember the circumstances of the whānau receiving these gifts when you bring them - we want to bring as much joy and happiness into their lives as possible. Please keep all gifts unwrapped, clothing items plain (no red) and gifts for men and boys are also welcome (but please no toy 'weapons'). If donating long-life food, please ensure it is easy to cook and its use by date is later than March 2023.

Santa is also welcoming tamariki and whānau to his low-sensory grotto, with no music and low lights, from 4pm till 7pm on Monday, December 12. Sensory-sensitive tamariki and whānau can also book a crowd-free spot with Santa from 10am till 2pm on Mondays, December 5 and 12.

Bookings are essential for low-sensory sessions.
