Remuera Fundraiser for Older and Disabled People

Loneliness and isolation can mean different things to different people. Being able to participate in the community is not that easy for some. Sadly for many older people, transport or health issues, or lack of confidence means that participation is just too hard. For over 60 years Communicare's work is to close that gap by having many friendship centres around Auckland. Communicare is 100% funded, we are not supported by Health or have large contracts that fund us. We rely on the community and Community funders. This we are always thankful for. We are reaching out to the Auckland Community to support our appeal. $5000 allows Commmunicare to open one Friendship Centre for 6 months. Our Remuera centre is very unique as we cater for Older and disabled people. Tuesday 18th October from 10 am to Midday we have a fundraising event.
