Wellington Museum welcome's you back to remember the 1881 invasion of Parihaka. With three days of commemorative events in observance of Parihaka across Wellington Museum and Nairn St Cottage.

Day one: Invasion - Saturday 5th November
Paora Trim, Head of Māori Development Kāpiti College will speak about the College’s relationship with Parihaka and how they’ve integrated Parihaka’s values into their school curriculum.
A cup of tea and light refreshments will follow this talk.
Wellington Museum - 10am-12noon –
Free Entry

Day two: Destruction - Sunday 6th
November
Guest speaker – Honouring Peacemakers- Linda Hansen, researcher, author and storyteller - will be celebrating nonviolence through her presentation about Peacemakers in Aotearoa from the past to the present time.
Followed by a cup of tea and light refreshments
Wellington Museum -10am to 12noon – Free entry

Day three: Survival - Monday 7th November
