GHAZAL - an oldest form of poetic expression where in couplets of common themes but independent in their own right are woven together to form the central theme are sung to semi classical musical accompaniment. MigHT-i and Aarohi Academy of Music have the pleasure of presenting to you "RAS BHAAV RANG, Ghazal ke Sang" an evening of pure bliss representing a wide genre of famous, not so famous and unique ghazals that you may hear for the first time! A journey of this poetic kind will transfer you into a new dimension and bring you closer to your loved ones in these difficult times. Presenting the ghazals will be some very talented singers from Auckland - Vidya Teke, Daljeet Singh, Harish Khatnaur, Manjit Singh, Roshan Raju, Shweta Divekar, Mandy Grover, Mukta Paranjape who will be accompanied by Dharmesh Parikh (keyboard), Manjit Singh (Tabla), Dr Ashok Malur (Violin), Swanand (Guitar), Pramod (percussions).

A chance to listen to famous ghazals made popular by Mehandi Hassan, Ghulam Ali, Jagjit Singh, Anoop Jalota, Talat Aziz, Dr Roshan Bharti, Nasrat Fateh Ali Khan, Noorjehan, Tassawar Khanum, Chitra Singh, Asha Bhonsale, Lata Mangeshkar, Runa Laila, Begum Akhtar and Farida Khanum to name a few! And ofcourse who can forget the Shayars - Sudarshan Fakir, Nida Fazli, Qatil Shafai, Shakil Badayuni, Ahmed Faraz, Abshar, Meer, Khatir Ghaznavi, Aga Bismil, Maqdoom, Gulzar and list the list goes on. An evening of bewitching music, classic poetry and soulful singing. Not to be missed.
