Raising the Bar: Data and The Demise of The Designer

Are you perpetually underwhelmed by the products you buy? This is most likely because they were designed for the customer of yesterday. Since the advent of data-driven design, we find ourselves faced with cars, shavers and clothing that just barely meet functional needs and often leave us feeling cold because they lack the beauty and meaning we intrinsically crave. In a world with complex problems that are rapidly escalating, we need creatives to take back the reins and envision a future that we can look forward to.
