Enjoy some light refreshments and learn about an upcoming multicultural storytelling project 'Landing in Whangārei.'

This is a community-based project that develops a shared experience of belonging for international and regional migrants who are now residents of Whangārei.

Do you know when you realised after days, months, or years, that Whangārei had become your home? Maybe this story is within you and is yet to be discovered. Many of us are asked, "Why Whangārei?" and "Where are you from?" This project helps bring those stories together, connecting us to place and each other and our participation as people of Whangārei.

This Info Hui will give more details about the project and a look ahead into the process to develop your personal story of multicultural identity and belonging to be shared in a professional and accessible form.

Participation in the project is all ages.
Previous experience is not required.
English Fluency is not required.
Group and Family stories are encouraged.

*Both locations are mobility accessible but please let us know how we can support any access needs (mobility or otherwise).*

Refreshments will be provided.
There are 2 dates of the same hui. 11 June at Multicultural Whangārei, and 16 June at the Whangārei Central Library, May Bain Room.
