Motif Poetry and Hastings Library are excited to present a special, one-night-only, free Pride Poetry Night right here in the Bay!

Hosted by UK Slam Champion Sara Hirsch and featuring wordsmiths from around Hawke's Bay, come and watch poets perform their work at Hastings Library of Pride. All LGBTFQIA+ identifying writers and performers are welcome to sign up, including allies standing in solidarity with the rainbow community.

This is a supportive, inclusive space for poets of all genders, sexualities and backgrounds to come together and share their work. An empowered platform to celebrate diversity and love of all kinds.

For more information or to sign up visit the Hastings District Libraries website or email sara@motifpoetry.co.nz.

Children must be accompanied by a caregiver. We may take photographs or video recordings during events and programmes which may be used in Council promotional material.

Masks are required to be worn in the libraries, except by those who are exempt.

All offerings are subject to the Covid Protection Framework traffic light system. Numbers may be limited, and physical distancing and mask-wearing required.
