Portrait Painting

Creative April School Holiday fun!

Beginning with observational sketches of themselves using mirrors, kids will be guided through creating their own vibrant self-portraits using painting techniques.

Closely studying how hair sits on the head, how lips stretch over smiles and the colour spectrum in eyes, Leela will help kids develop brush and paint application techniques, as well as colour mixing. Each portrait will incorporate unique symbolism to represent things that are special to the new artist.
