PHUCKing Interesting is a brand new live comedy panel show based entirely off an existing TV show which we won't mention so we still have plausible deniability.
Dan Bain, a master of the absurd and obscure, will host a panel of somewhat knowledgeable guests trying their best to correctly answer our questions (or at least contribute something interesting of their own). Obscure facts, interesting tidbits, delicious little bits of information, all discussed and sometimes argued over by some of Aotearoa's finest entertainers.
Your panellists for episode #1...
Joe Bennett - Award-winning Lyttelton writer, columnist and playwright. He's well educated, well lived, and ready to share an irreverent opinion on anything and everything. Joe Bennett is a New Zealand icon and honestly too good for this show.
Ray Shipley - Comedian, poet, and maybe most importantly for this show, librarian. The library life didn't choose Ray, they actively sought it out. Hands down one of the funniest people in the country, Ray also has some knowledge on some topics.
Snap - A cheeky little scamp with no skills beyond comedy. Snap brings to table a unique mixed of pure stupidity and random facts. He's stupid enough to sell his name to the highest bidder, but also hosts two weekly quizzes so must have remembered some stuff?
Shay Horay - You may know this old school carny wierdo as The Famous Rubberband Boy... famous for putting an honestly impressive amount of rubberbands on his face. Shay's also a very acclaimed actor, comedian, and circus performer.
We're hoping this show is a raging success so we can justify doing it as a regular thing. So help us spread the word and get your tickets early!
