FIRST LIGHT
Reflection, Regeneration, Release

Join us this June and July for three thoughtfully curated programmes reflecting on our place in this world – meditating on life, loss and rebirth as we mark the first-ever official public holiday dedicated to Matariki, Māori new year.
Familiar favourites by Haydn, Schumann and Mozart are given fresh perspectives, paired beautifully with meditative works by Natalie Hunt, Lyell Cresswell, Grażyna Bacewicz and more.

REGENERATION Programme Two (Nelson)
From darkness and loss come new beginnings.

Lyell Cresswell | Capricci: Bergamasca

Galop & Courante Grażyna Bacewicz | String Quartet No.5

Robert Schumann | String Quartet in a minor, Op.44, No. 1

This performance will be ca. 70mins in duration, without interval.
