Dive into a whole kaleidoscope of awesome from 18 Feb — 12 March with the 2022 New Zealand Fringe Festival Programme. Be a part of the Birthplace of Brilliance as Fringe takes over Pōneke for 23 days with groundbreaking art this Summer

For three weeks during February and early March, this annual festival features over 1,100 artists from around New Zealand and the world, featuring world premieres, new artists and established companies creating new, cutting edge art.

Over 700 events are staged all over the city – in established venues, houses, galleries, cafes, bars, street corners and parks.

Our festival is open access and includes contemporary work in art forms including (but never limited to) audio, busking, cabaret, clowning, comedy, circus, dance, film, fashion, improvisation, music, online, physical theatre, podcast, poetry, puppetry, spoken word/storytelling, theatre, visual & digital art. Fringe Festival isn’t held in one singular location, rather a myriad of venues all across the city centre to the outskirts of town partake in facilitating the Fringe. For example, we have shows happening at Wellington Zoo, Te Auaha, Moon Bar, Old St Paul's, even “Streets of Newtown”.

Step out of your comfort zone. Go to shows you wouldn’t normally go to. You never know, you just might discover something new about yourself. The most important part of Fringe is getting out there and having fun. Explore the full programme and buy your tickets today.
