Mt Eden Chamber Music Festival

This boutique classical music festival brings together some of New Zealand's foremost professional musicians in three one-hour concerts over the course of a single weekend. Friday evening opens with highly respected NZTrio in a programme ranging from Salina Fisher and Christos Hatzis to Brahms. On Saturday, pianist Stephen De Pledge joins APO principals Melanie Lancon (flute) and Bede Hanley (oboe) performing works by Robert and Clara Schumann, Faure, Gaubert and Dring. For the Sunday matinee we welcome back the acclaimed NZ Chamber Soloists - Katherine Austin (piano), Lara Hall (violin/ viola) and James Tennant (cello) - with festival artistic director Simeon Broom (violin) playing Janacek, Schubert and Mozart.
