Kate Sheppard House welcomes visitors to celebrate Mother's Day in style.

On arrival, you will be treated to a glass of temperance champagne* and a traditional high tea with tea or coffee, served in the historic reception rooms overlooking the garden.

Then, enjoy a fascinating tour of the house which tells the story of New Zealand's most inspiring woman, the leader of the suffrage campaign, Kate Sheppard.

Conclude your visit with a self-guided walk in the historic century-old garden.

Your Mother's Day High Tea experience includes a glass of Edenvale Blanc de Blanc*, high tea with a selection of sandwiches and sweet treats, freshly brewed tea or coffee, entry to the museum and a guided tour.

Vegetarian option available, however, we cannot cater for gluten-free, dairy-free or vegan at this time.

*Temperance drinks are non-alcoholic beverages, served in the house in honour of Kate Sheppard's temperance beliefs.
