The Mitre 10 Rainbow Run is bursting back on New Plymouth's Coastal Walkway in 2022. The action starts at East End Reserve and people then journey through six fun colour stations to finish at Ngamotu Beach. Spot prizes, a Mass Colour Throw and the Seaside Market round off the event at the finish line.

On the day:
10:00 am - Event registration.
11:00-11:30am - Participants start to run/walk.
12:45 pm - Mass colour throw.

Bus service:
Special buses are available for participants wanting to leave their vehicle near the finish line. The buses will leave from the corner of Pioneer Rd and Breakwater Rd at 10:00am, 10:20am and 10:40am. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your departure time.
Bus tickets must be purchased before the event and will not be available on the day.

Event information:
All participants need to wear their wristband. Tickets can be swapped for wristbands at Sport Taranaki on Friday 4 March 12.30pm-5.30pm or Saturday 5 March 9am-12noon. If you collect your wristband on the morning allow plenty of extra time as there will be a queue.

Participants leave in waves from the start line between 11:00 am and 11:30 am. People wanting to take it slowly or who are completing the event with a buggy should make their way to the front.

The event will only be cancelled by severe weather or a change in COVID event hosting rules. If it is cancelled full refunds will be made. A cancellation decision would be made on the morning of the event by 9am and will be communicated by email and the Sport Taranaki Facebook page.

Bring your own water bottle, sunscreen and wear comfortable shoes. There will be a water station at the finish. Prams, pushchairs and wheelchairs are welcome. Younger children (5 and under) may wish to use a scooter. No bikes please.

This is a COVID vaccinated event.
Participants aged 12 and over will need to upload their vaccine pass as part of the ticket purchase and passes will be checked on the day.
