We are privileged to invite you and your guests to celebrate the opening of the Milan Mrkusich ONZM Solo Exhibition, "Works 1992 - 1997".

Milan Mrkusich ONZM, has been recognised as one of New Zealand’s most important artists.

He was a pioneer of abstract painting and made an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit (ONZM) in 1997 for his services to painting.

Mrkusich won the commission to design a significant art installation at Te Papa Tongarewa, Museum of New Zealand, with a colourful array of enamel-on-glass panels, two storeys high and running the length of the building along Cable Street, installed ready for the museum’s grand opening in 1998.

Mrkusich was one of ten inaugural Icon Award recipients from the Arts Foundation of New Zealand in 2003.

Milan Mrkusich died at the age of 93 years on the 13th of June 2018.

The works of art on display can be previewed on the webpage above, see website section.

Contact me, Ngaire, on info@artselect.gallery to register your interest to purchase.

We look forward to seeing you and your guests at the opening reception or at the exhibition from 12 April - 14 May.
