This event is a weekly drop-in meditation class.

Each class includes two guided meditations, teaching and advice on how to integrate the instructions into our daily life.

Each class is self-contained, join anytime. Booking is not required.

With Buddhist Nun and Resident Teacher Kelsang Luma.

We do not have EFTPOS so can accept either cash or bank transfer.

Class topics:

Habits of Happy People – week of 22 Aug to 12 Sept 4 weeks

We all have habits that seem hard to break. Unfortunately, many of these habits also make us unhappy or even harm our health. Even though we try very hard, sometimes we feel helpless to change.

Through practicing Buddha’s teachings, we can gain confidence in our potential to change. We can then replace even our most stubborn habits with profoundly beneficial ways of thinking that lead only to peace and happiness.

What is Compassion? – week of 19 Sept to 3 Oct 3 weeks

What is empathy and what is compassion? Learn what these special minds are and how to develop them to enrich our daily life.

Declutter the Mind – week of 10 Oct to 17 Oct 2 weeks

Learn the essential techniques to declutter your mind, and fulfil your wishes for a focused and happy mind.

What to expect at a class:
These classes are based on Buddha’s teachings on the mind, but you do not need to be a Buddhist to attend or to benefit from them. Each class consists of two guided meditations and an explanatory talk. The classes run for 90 minutes.

Anyone can practice meditation and everyone is welcome to attend. There is no physical exercise involved and you can choose to sit either in a chair or on a cushion.

These classes are suitable for all levels of experience.
