Mauri of the Maunga Kākāpō Gala Dinner & Auction

Taking place beneath the mountain on the edge of beautiful Lake Karāpiro, join us for an extraordinary evening of fine dining, dazzling entertainment and captivating guest speakers. Along with a tantalizing three-course meal, the evening will culminate with an exclusive auction of 30 original artworks created by local, national and international artists.

Support Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari's vital conservation work.

All items sold through the Mauri of the Maunga Gala Dinner and Auction will support the Sanctuary's vital conservation work and help bring the highly endangered kākāpō to the mountain.

For this to happen, Sanctuary Mountain® will have to modify the existing predator-proof fence to prevent kākāpō from climbing out of the sanctuary. Any birds leaving the sanctuary would be highly vulnerable to predation – from dogs, cats, ferrets, or stoats. Your support of the evening will help to achieve this goal.
