Marra Sprint Triathlon

With our signature Sprint Distance Event, being a 750m Swim (along the shore), 20km Cycle (flat 2 lap course) and a 5km Run (around the beautiful Mauao Base Track) this is a great Sprint distance Tri to close your season on.

This is a draft friendly race, "no draft busters". As always this event attracts many local and visiting athletes and caters for novice to experienced athletes of all abilities. This is a friendly event that always has a great atmosphere and attracts some fantastic participants to our local shores.

Minis & Monsters:
With huge success of the short distance races for the Youth in recent years, both these races will be back in force.

We have the Marra Monsters: aged 12 - 16 years inclusive and the Marra Minis: aged 6 - 11 years inclusive. Each of these events have been created with their own specific distances and separate start times, enabling everyone to be involved.

The Monsters and Minis will even have their own area in transition so they are not only kept safe but also so they can line up with their peers and check out the competition!! Above all it is going to be fun seeing so many young people getting out there and giving it a go.

Now we also have a Short distance race for the over 16-year old that don't want to do the Sprint distance. Same distance as the Monsters race - 400m swim, 10km bike, 2km run.

This event is for everyone & there is a race for all the family. Come along & help celebrate 35 years on the event calendar.
