Marlborough Youth Trust: NZ Youth Week Events

NZ Youth Week, 7-15th May 2022
Theme: "Our Voices Matter, We Deserve To Be Heard"

Youth of Marlborough have said, they want to know where to get support from in the community, when they aren't feeling safe, the youth want respectful relationships, they want to break down backhanded racism, youth want to dance, sing and have fun together, they want to celebrate their identity and who they are- youth are not another brick in the wall!

Marlborough Youth Trust Youth Advisory Group have worked alongside Duncan McKenzie, Marlborough District Council and MYT youth workers to host some of the NZ Youth Week events in Marlborough this year & have the youth voice heard through events for youth to come along and join

Fri 7th May: 5 -10pm, LASER TAG @ Myspace, book in your family or group of friend for some fun, events@myt.org.nz

Sat 8th May: 10-2pm, YOUTH AWARENESS WALK starting from Myspace, guest speakers, BBQ

Mon 9th May: 5-7pm, BRICK ART with Rainbow youth

Tues 10th May: 3:30-5pm BRICK ART with youth after college

Wed 11th May: 3:30-5pm BRICK ART with youth after college

Thurs 12 May: 6-8pm BRICK ART with Young Adults

FRI 13th May: noon-1pm BRICK ART with Sticks & Wheels youth
