JOHN TOOMER TRANSFORMS HUMBLE RURAL BUILDINGS AND LANDSCAPES INTO SCENES OF ICONIC STATUS.

Join us for a solo exhibition by John Toomer. We are pleased to release new paintings that explore Maniototo, the region of interior Otago.

John Toomer is a premier artist who specialises in the depiction of old buildings in the rural landscape. His works are highly detailed with a focus on light and shadow.​

John Toomer is a well-established Otago based artist who has been painting professionally for over 30 years. Toomer's current style is described as 'contemporary realism' and the subject matter features still life subjects; old and run down buildings consisting of either homesteads, country stores, churches and railway stations.
