Kerikeri Theatre Company proudly presents “Macbeth”, by William Shakespeare for our 2023 Summer Shakespeare at Kainui Vineyard!

Shakespeare’s darkest tragedy, Macbeth tells the tale of a man tempted by promises of power – he shall one day be King of Scotland! As he claws his way to glory he is consumed by guilt and madness. But he must watch his back, for something wicked this way comes…

This year's production of Macbeth is one of Kerikeri Theatre Company’s most ambitious yet. Attendees will be transported to the Dark Ages, as
Director Adam Parmenter dresses this riveting tale in a mashup of Viking and Medieval themes.

Many of our leading actors come from professional performance backgrounds and we are proud to have assembled some of the Bay of Island's finest creative minds, artists and technicians to bring you one of the highest calibre local productions, ever!

Macbeth will be presented at Kainui Vineyard and Brewery, a beautiful open-air venue that has graciously invited us (for the fourth year in a row), to perform our 2023 Summer Shakespeare production.

General Admission tickets sell for just $35 per adult or $25 per student. Or, if you’re making a real night of it, our 4 seater gazebos are available again but are extremely limited – so be sure to secure yours early!

It is believed that William Shakespeare wrote Macbeth in 1606, while the Globe Theatre was closed and society was effectively in lockdown due to the Plague… Sounds familiar, doesn’t it?

Join us as we bring this epic allegory to life this February in Kerikeri!
