‘Kids Climb’ at the National Tree Climbing Championship

Ever wondered what the bird’s see up there in the trees? Get down to Risingholme Park, Opawa, to not only meet a bunch of cool arborists that climb trees for a living, but have a go yourself! Kids will wear a special safety harness and with the help of our NZ ARB arborist experts, will get to climb a tree (as high as they are comfortable) and check out a view usually reserved for the professionals and birds!

This event is run by trained tree climber volunteers and organised by the New Zealand Arboricultural Association. Safety is an absolutely priority for our arborist volunteers running this event, however, parents/guardians are required to sign a consent and waiver form.
