Live Jazz: Soul Bossa Duo

Soul Bossa Duo, a Brazilian Bossa Nova founded by Amanda Bovo (vocals) and Juliana Sian (piano), has been representing Brazilian music in New Zealand since 2018. The duo has played in Auckland at venues such as Ponsonby Social Club, Dr. Rudi's, Botticelli Restaurant, Auckland Jazz and Blues Club, Crown Range Lounge, business events, and private parties.

In 2020, the concert "Black Pearls" earned glowing reviews from the 13th floor. Juliana and Amanda are presently studying for a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance at the University of Auckland.

Songs by Tom Jobim, Milton Nascimento, Elis Regina, and Debora Gurgel are among the varied repertoire, which incorporates traditional Brazilian jazz as well as other Brazilian rhythms.
